Are You a Hoarder…Or Know Someone That Is?
On the upcoming December 13th episode of A & E’s Hoarders show, Cathy Bock, owner of Chaos Tamers Organizing, is part of the team that helped 14-year-old Shania and her parents, Belinda and Kevin, declutter their home. All three family members were hoarders. Shania had three rooms filled with every toy, piece of clothing or scrap of paper acquired since she was born. Her parents had filled up the rest of the house with their collections and other belongings. Belinda had threatened to leave if they didn’t all address their hoarding and get help. See the amazing results as the family works with the team to reclaim their home and create a safe environment for Shania.
Cathy spent 2 days in early October helping the family sort through their possessions and decide what to keep, donate or toss. The team consisted of lead organizer Geralin Thomas, 9 organizers from the National Association of Professional Organizers-Chicago chapter, Chicago psychotherapist Mark Pfeffer and the 1-800-Got-Junk team.
